How to Move Projects to the COMMAND Center Cloud from Dropbox

If you are a COMMAND Center iOS app customer currently using Dropbox, you will need to migrate your existing projects from Dropbox to the COMMAND Center Cloud and discontinue using Dropbox.

The secure COMMAND Center Cloud works with or without our AutoCollect option, allowing teams to sync project files automatically across multiple devices and protect files with user privileges. It is replacing Dropbox as a robust and easier to use file sharing and syncing method.

The process for moving your projects depends on how many people and devices you are syncing files with.

If you do not share a Dropbox account with other users and want to keep your current projects:

  1. Update your COMMAND Center iOS app through the Apple App Store.
  2. Create your free COMMAND Center Cloud account in the app (Settings – COMMAND Center Cloud).

  3. Sign in to the COMMAND Center Cloud with your newly created account.
  4. All projects from your account will automatically import into the COMMAND Center Cloud.
  5. The Dropbox option will no longer be present.

If you currently share a Dropbox account with multiple people on multiple iOS devices:

  1. Identify the one Dropbox account and multiple associated team members with the app needing migration to the COMMAND Center Cloud.
  2. Choose one team member to be the Owner of the migrating projects.
    1. Update that team member’s COMMAND Center iOS app through the Apple App Store.
    2. Create a free COMMAND Center Cloud account in the app (Settings – COMMAND Center Cloud).

    3. Sign in to the COMMAND Center Cloud.
    4. All projects from the Owner’s account will automatically import into the COMMAND Center Cloud.
    5. The Owner’s account is migrated and ready for Step 7.
  3. All other team members must delete the COMMAND iOS app. Tap and hold the app on your iOS device and select the ‘delete’ option. Deleting the app will clear your projects so the team can sync to just the one project.
  4. Install the updated COMMAND Center iOS app through the Apple App Store again.
  5. Create your free COMMAND Center Cloud account in the app and tell the Owner the email address you used.
  6. Sign in to the COMMAND Center Cloud and watch for ‘invitations’ in the app.
  7. The Owner uses the ‘invite’ option within their app to share the project(s) with team members and set the desired permission levels (Share – Permissions – Invite).

  2. Install the updated COMMAND Center iOS app through the Apple App store again.
  3. Create a free COMMAND Center Cloud account in the app (Settings – COMMAND Center Cloud).
