NIST certification gives buyers and users the assurances they need and seek to know that the equipment in question will perform as promised per the specifications documented by the manufacturer.

Why should COMMAND Center™ customers care about NIST certification?

Unlike most concrete sensors, COMMAND Center™ sensors are NIST certified. This means customers can be confident that the sensors will get the job done, even in the face of high scrutiny and stringent regulations. And in cases where certification documents or similar evidence of working order is required for the equipment that will be used on a project, COMMAND Center™ customers can obtain them.

What does NIST certification actually certify re: COMMAND Center™ sensors?

The COMMAND Center™ sensor performance specifications state that they are able to measure and record concrete temperature data within a range of -40C to 85C (-40.0 to 185.0 °F) and at an accuracy level of +/- 1C (1.8F). NIST certification documents can be provided to customers upon request as needed to show that COMMAND Center™ sensors meet these criteria. The certification is good for one year from date of shipment.

How do COMMAND Center™ sensors achieve NIST certification?

COMMAND Center™ sensor components are rigorously tested at manufacturing against comprehensive quality assurance procedures. These procedures include validation tests where each sensor’s data is compared to a NIST certified device over a range of temperature conditions. The NIST device used has an accuracy of +/- 0.035C. Temperature conditions for validation testing can range from -100°C to +200°C.
